Kai W. Thompson, JD
Kai is an associate at SB LLP. He obtained his law degree from the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta bar in 2020.
Kai has acted for a range of public and private corporations, municipalities, and individuals in a wide variety of matters. He practices in the areas of litigation, wills and estates, and guardianship and trusteeship matters. He handles complex litigation files, as well as estate litigation matters.
Kai has appeared at the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.
Kai is skilled in oral advocacy, drafting and reviewing legal matters as well as negotiating for his clients. He assists clients with navigating complex issues and enables them to make informed decisions in pursuing or defending formal legal actions. He enjoys providing high quality, timely, and cost-effective legal solutions to his clients with his practical skill set.
Kai is an active member of several sections of the Canadian Bar Association, and he regularly attends educational seminars. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring with his French Bulldog, Benny, Golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
