Barry King, LLB
Barry King was admitted to practice in Alberta in 1981 after clerking to Mr. Justice McClung of the Alberta Court of Appeal. His experience in the practice of law is wide ranging, with over 37 years experience in real estate transactions, civil litigation, matrimonial law, personal injury law, estate planning and will preparation, estate administration, and bankruptcy and insolvency matters. Barry has practiced with several Edmonton law firms since 1981, including Cooke Shandling, Cruickshank Phillips, and McLennan Ross. In 2003, he founded Strathcona Law Group and moved his practice to Sherwood Park. Barry’s extended family has lived in the County of Strathcona since 1950 and he has resided with his wife and daughters in Sherwood Park since 1982. Barry graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science (with distinction) prior to obtaining his law degree. He enjoys skiing, road and off-road cycling, and distance running and has completed several marathons and triathlons.
