Roshan Kalra, JD, MBA
Roshan is a Partner at SB LLP and Team Lead of our Corporate group. Roshan’s practice primarily focuses on transactional matters related to commercial purchases and sales, real estate development, real estate secured lending, and franchise matters. He works with a variety of small-to-mid sized business owners, financial lenders, chartered banks, and land developers in crafting strategies to grow their businesses. As part of his practice, Roshan also handles immigration-related matters at the firm.
Prior to joining the firm, Roshan completed his JD / MBA at Queen’s University. He has had the opportunity to study law on three continents through an International Business Law certification at the Bader International Study Centre in England and an exchange at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to his combined program, Roshan obtained his Bachelor of Commerce in Business Economics and Business Law from the University of Alberta.
Roshan currently serves on the Board of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. He previously served as the Chair of the Canadian Bar Association, Commercial Property & Leasing (North) Section, on the Board of the Edmonton Inner City Children’s Program, and as a Regional Ambassador for Business Networking International, Alberta North.
In his free time, Roshan enjoys travelling, squash, ball hockey, and the challenge of playing golf. He is fluent in both Hindi and Punjabi.
